Tingewick Patchers

Tingewick Patchers meet in the Village Hall every Monday (excluding Bank Holidays) from 1.30 to 3.30pm. We enjoy a mix of open meetings, where we work on our own projects, and workshop sessions when we have a speaker to demonstrate and teach a new skill to us.

This year we have made patchwork jackets, jelly-roll quilts, book covers, a variety of useful bags and learned how to 'stack and whack'. In the Autumn we look forward to a scrap quilt workshop session entitled Sunny Lanes with Ann Vincent and then Christmas Craft sessions with Joan Nuttall. Over the years we have made quilts for various charities, our most recent efforts directed towards the victims of the bush fires in Australia early in 2009. Several members submit entries to support the quilting class in the village Annual Horticultural Show.

We organize patchwork related outings during the year and complete our year with a Christmas Lunch. We welcome new members from raw beginners to experts and pay £1 per session to cover the hall rental with tea and coffee available. Workshops, which are optional, cost a little more.
